SESSION 12: LFW
I have been to the London Fashion Week. There was not much people on the street by the time I arrived so I didn’t catch much great shoots at that time. While I was waiting, there were many journalists, staffs and photographers and I had many meaningful conversations with them, talking about fashion industries and fashion-related subjects, which gained me a lot of inspirations and motives for developing my further study and career. Later the place had become more hectic, and I realised the fashion looks of the people there weren’t as wild as what I expected, I was still amazed by a few of them. I have had small talks with them respectively, and we had good communications and they were very willing to allow me to direct them into different postures. To get fully prepared, I have borrowed a high quality digital camera and I have self-practiced for street shooting. Fortunately, the staff from the entrance invited me to watch the show, and I was shocked but blessed. Although the show was not really fit for my taste, it was still an exciting experience. After the show, I was lucky to have the opportunity to chat with more people in the show and did more shootings and that was very unexpected.
For further editing, as I noticed that I have to make trend pages from LFW, after the previous review sessions, I have seen many peers just cropping out the outfits and described them. I really want to create some innovative contents, so I looked over my photos taken from that day again, and suddenly brainstormed and related the outfits to the cartoons and animations I have watched since childhood. I applied them into my trend pages and it turned out to have a positive effect on making my pages.
