SESSION 1: MAGAZINE ANALYSIS

This is the first lesson after selecting the pathway. I was asked to bring two magazines in and analyse each part of the magazines in detail. From this section I have discovered my weakness– normally I won’t look through every section in magazine and this allows me to understand the structure building of a magazine. Moreover, I realised the alignment and fonts are as well considering for publishing a magazine. I realised that I have neglected the personal style and features that the editor is trying to convey because I usually was attracted to photographs.

As I have chosen beauty edition of “System” magazine for this section, I found that I was the only one chosen this magazine which I was glad that I can investigate how the magazine is trying to promote beauty products in different ways. After this section, I discovered my interest in enjoying every part of the magazine as I found that worth reading. Through looking into details of the two magazines I brought, I was amazed how the two editors have present two different styles by presenting vivid and informative details in their magazines.

Comparing SYSTEM magazine and DAZED
